For what it's worth, my daughter's teen acne seemed worse on Lexapro and Zoloft. Adding prescription Nicomide (nicotinamide, zinc, copper and folic acid) dramatically improved her acne in just one week. I can only theorize that it might be the nicotinamide which I believe interacts with benzodiazepine receptors or could be due to increasing zinc and/or magnesium which tend to be "wasted" by the body when under stress.

Find a medication that works for you and then you can deal with the acne with topicals (Retin-A and the like) or other meds (don't do antibiotics, however).

BTW, between Celexa, Lexapro and Zoloft, Zoloft works best for my daughter's social phobia and also seems to help somewhat with her mild BDD symptoms.

Good luck to you.
