I guess the reason that people ask such questions is to try and reduce the time they need to feel better.

If drug A works in %90 of patients but
drug B works in %20

then it makes sence to try drug A first. Unless there were additional factors.

So when people ask what is the best antidepressant, they are just kind of trying to get an idea of what helps and what doesn't.

If somebody asked me what was better, moclobemide or nardil. I'd say Nardil, because it has a better record of sucess.
