Anxiety has never ever caused me to stutter. Maybe it is the "word finding" capabilities that Xanax makes a little harder aka. cognitive dulling.
When I first started taking it, I needed to take it 2-3x/day (.125mg each time) but now I only take it once in the morning and it works throughout the day. Call me weird - but it works.
The antidepressant effects wear off rather quickly! If taken "as needed", Xanax can make you feel better, but after 2-3 weeks of continuous use, the antidepressant (it's mild anyway) fades. ALL benzos can actually WORSEN depression and Xanax is no different. I believe Klonopin is worse in this regard, however, but Xanax can unquestionably worsen depression is used long term.

So am I the only one that has the stuttering/word finding difficulties on benzos?!
