I gave it a feeble attempt a few years back for GAD and social anxiety, but looking back I stopped it way too soon (2 weeks or so) and didn't give dose escalation a try (I think I was on 300mg tid). I unfortunately didn't have the patience at the time to allow the side effect to potentially resolve. It was very sedating for me and sort of made me generally "numb," but certainly could have worked had I stuck it out. I may give it (or Lyrica) another go if my parnate is a bust.
And I agree that the dosing regimen you mention is very conservative, but may be necessary to avoid being completely slammed by side effects. From what I've read, much higher doses (3600mg/day or higher) are often required to alleviate anxiety.
Let us know what you decide and how your treatment works. Good luck!
