I agree that anhedonia and disassociation, which can fall together, require more than just pharmacological intervention. (and while the hydrocodone may help in the short run, it too can create depression -- but that is for your pdoc to handle)I have a complex disorder and there are weeks where I fall towards anhedonia and weasle out of the volunteer jobs that are supposed to be the stepping stone towards finding some sort of work that can work with my problems.
I'll say it, but its one of those things that you say and don't do yourself -- you can't wait to "feel better" to embrace life. The life outdoors. The life among coworkers. Even in this brave new world we face in the 21st century. A piano could fall on you in your house (I'm just trying to inject some humour.) just as much as going out and doing something. By doing things productive, even little things, its hard, you have to force yourself, you gain strength over illness. And there will be relapses as you enter things that give you more anxiety -- I have had them. That's par for the course. No blame to yourself.
Best wishes
