I've been on klonopin for about 12 years for SP. Nothing else I tried put a dent in my social anxiety until klonopin. That said, for years now I've tried to find something to blend with it to improve my mood as I'm at the very least mildly depressed (nothing has helped for the dysthimia).

My SP was so bad before I took klonopin I don't know if I was as depressed before taking it or if the klonopin is making it worse. My hunch is it's a little of both. I got off klonopin a while back, but all my SP returned. It had been in remission for so long I forgot how bad it was.

So now back to klonopin so I'm functional, but still with this dysthimic condition. It sucks, but it's better than not being able to leave the house. I'll be adding EMSAM later this month, perhaps that will help.
