Remeron tends to be *less* sedating and more effective at higher doses (30 or 45). I might give it another try with that in mind. Ask your doc for Provigil samples if the sedation is too much. That's my two cents anyway, it's up to you.

And yes, you can take Remeron and Paxil together.
