Hi Crazy Horse,
it is really odd how drinking makes the ocd almost completly go away, isn't it?, i always found great relief from drinking, but of course the social/economical problems were too high a price to pay, to say the least.
now i use exercise [weights and running] and campral, which takes away my urge to drink somewhat. i know exactly what you mean Tyler, when i think back on some of my worst times with ocd i almost shudder, i never thoutht i would be able to face ocd drug and alcohol free, until it became a neccessity!!i have ruined so many great relationships, [i was engaged once] through just my drinking and related behavior.
but i also touch base with other alcoholics, [sometimes a.a. meetings] and i am a member of ocdsupportgroups@yahoo.com. [i recommend it highly] and through the grace of god, and an occasional klonopin, lol, i am back to doing well, prozac helped my ocd quite a bit, but cbt therapy i think is still best.if you ever would like to write, my email address is- { berkrock1@aol.com] take care, your friend...john
