My doctor put me on Effexor over a year ago because I was having a terrible time with hot flashes. She claimed that one of the side effects of effexor was to tame the flashes. Lo and behold, I suffer very rarely now. I went away for the weekend and forgot to take the medication, so didn't have any for 3 days. Now I'm debating whether I should re-start them or not. I feel a little weird, light headed and dizzy, so decided to check the site about discontinuing abruptly. Should I tough it out or start taking it again, but only every few days? Any ideas?
