I don't have cirrhosis but if your ALT, Bilirubin, and other liver functions suggest it I would absolutely talk to your doctor. Your liver can regenerate but only if it is not subjected to high doses of something that would potentiate problems with it.
Yes, drinking occasionally over a lifetime with no genetic liver disorders is fine, some even say it improves circulation, and all other sorts of things, although others dispute findings and say grape juice is just a good.
But if you're going to be on medication that has a known high capacity to impact the liver, your doctor should order frequent ALT tests.
That's just my 2c
Someone else who understands your plight can probably offer a pearl of wisdom. And if you only "think" you have cirrhosis, you should get to a doctor fast and have a panel and possible scans of the liver. Why wait ?
