Lamictal dosage, which is better: 100 or 200mg?

Posted by psychosage on May 24, 2006, at 14:54:06

I just started the third week of the starter pack for non-valproate users of Lamictal, and now I am on 50mg. I am curious as to what the difference is for Lamictal users between 100mg and 200mg. Can Lamictal still be therapeutic at 100mg for a non-valproate user; or 50mg for a Valproate user?

It sounds like a big leap to go from 100mg to 200mg. I don't want extra side effects if I can help it.

How does Lamictal become as you titrate upwards in general?

I am feeling a little manicky, but I think so far so good.
