That's what my old clinician told me, and it sure seems to be the case for me.

I don't understand. Why would you normally avoid doing this?

I can think of 2 reasons I might avoid it:
 —Psychological dependency risk would be less the longer it takes after administration before the effect hits
 —The effect MIGHT be weaker and spread out longer if absorbed in the gut

But I don't have much experience with benzos.
