And on a hot Arab, it fullfills some of my need to be living on the edge. Distance riding is not western or English, we have distance saddles, mine does not have a tree, so it is somthing like a bareback pad. I can't ride bareback anymore and don't know how I ever did because it hurts! That is the only way I did ride as a kid, bareback for hours at a time, canter and gallop. No trotting then, can't post without stirrups. So I am back to my preteen lifesytle. How on earth could I be depressed????
