I have had similar problems with with fatigue and AD's not working, my thyroid is in the high area of normal range. I have done alot of research and found that there are two strategies that are used in cases like this. 1.) Lithium is added to the A.D. This helps in about 50 percent of cases. Even if the person is not bipolar the lithium seems to activate the AD. 2) The other strategy which is more of what your talking about is that T3 hormone is added. Even if the thyroid is in the normal range. Studies have shown that this strategy is almost as effective as lithium augmentation. For some reason there are some people who need T3 hormone even though their thyroid results appear to be "normal." Unfortunately this strategy is not used by alot of doctors. In fact, most of them probably don't even know about it. However, if you look up the research on pubmed there it is.
I am currently trying the first strategy and if that dosen't work My doctor is willing to try T3. Good luck. It sounds like mental healthcare in the Uk is really bad.
