> I am curious to know how Topamax differs from Zonegran in regards to when it is used for binge eating disorder. I have read all the posts and wanted to know If anyone who posted had any updates on how they were doing on Zonegran. Am on 50mg of Topamax and the cognitive difficulties and extreme tiredness are killing me. So would switching to Zonegran be an option or does it carry the same side effects or worse?? I really cannot find any information. Can anyone share their experiences with these two drugs? How are the side effects different? And how and if it helped wth their binge eating and if there was weight loss? Thanks for reading this.

Hi.Is there any medical precedent for using Zonegran to treat binge eating?
I found Zonegran to be a pretty clean drug with respect to cognitive side effects. It seemed to be weight-neutral. It might have even reduced appetite a bit. The only side effect I experienced was the appearance of dry skin patches on my fingers. Now that I think about it, I may also have experienced some fatigue.
Good luck.
