In two short posts your disappointment and disgust with your father seem evident.
Perhaps he senses this too.
I'm sure he is doing his best right now and probably wishes he could be the father that would make you proud.
It sounds like you dad is suffering and is likely very depressed. It must be really hard for him to go from having so much respect and admiiration to the state he is in now.Depression is a serious disease with significant mortality. So at the risk of hurting your feelings or misreading you, I implore you to help your Dad get proper care and support.
If he is suffering from depression he is ill and in need of treatment.
