Those symptoms that you talk about; I wouldn't say I got them from the Lamictal as I had that kind of thing before I went on it (except for the flashes). If anything that kind of thing improved for me (along with the depression) as I increased the dose over a period of several months.
I have been on it for a year now and am on 400 mgs. As far as I can tell the only side effects I had were headaches just after a dose increase. Oh, I may have got some odd head sensations at the very low doses too (under 25 mg).
It has been great for me the only trouble is I'm starting to get a bit of poop out. It is still containing heaps of bad stuff though at this point.
