FYI
the strongest side effect I noticed from cymbalta is urinary hesitation. Sometimes I have to push to pee (sorry folks!). It hasn't been painful, but uncomfortable. I have been on 30,60, and now 90 mg. I think that it might be going away a bit, after 7 weeks. the first 2-3 weeks I had to get up in the middle of the night because my bladder was sending me mixed messages. Then I'd sit on the toilet, and wait... and wait... arghgh!I think the mechanism involved is the serotonin? receptors on the lowermost sphincter of the bladder,
and while we're on such a lovely theme- micturation: the term for the behavior of urination. Well, unfortunately, when you gotta go, sometimes you don't have conscious control over release of this tiny muscle. I never gave much thought to it before cymbalta. Coffee seems to help, if you can tolerate it.
best wishes FW!
