Hello,
after trying about 15 meds or more, i find myself having always the same reactions. In the first two days, I feel each time a different reaction, usually very positive, and after 5 or more days this effect goes away. Doctors say it's a placebo effect, but i'm sure it's not, because i can feel very different effects each time, and i'm so tired of trying pills that i don't get really excited about trying something new.
Usually, i start with very low dosis, because each time i try to increase it i have a significant worsening of the depression. I suffer from Dysthymia plus anxiety for about 3 years, and it's getting difficult to know what to do.
Recently I tried Selegiline for about two months in a low dosis regimen (1.25 mg each two days). After trying to use 2.5 mg/day, i crashed after feeling better and activated for 2 days. The depression worsens enough for me to start hating the meds and dropping them. To ease anxiety i use Xanax, which is pretty good for me.
I can feel even better without the meds, but after some time i realize that my quality of life is very poor, it's not a life.
Looks like my system is very against the drugs, so it might lock everything to avoid the drugs effects.
Should I stick to the medications for more than one month, even when depression is worsened, to see what happens?
I would appreciate any advice or experience shared.
Thanks
Ralph
