One of the most common mistakes is to stop a med that is tolerable and is helping. If you stop and then you get symptoms again, it is common for the same drug to not work again or to have much different side effects than the first time. Stopping too soon, or stopping at all, often opens up a whole new can of worms worse than where you started. Not always, but often.

If you do stop, you can taper down slowly over several weeks. Cut the dose in half for a couple weeks. You can even empty out capsules and take portions of the contents in custom sized doses.

Personally, based on my own experiences and on many others here at pbabble, I would be afraid to change anything just yet. If it's working, that's the whole idea in the first place.
