I wouldnt call myself an emsam-lover, but it's by far the most effective-- or only effective one, in my case.
I tried:
SSRIs: zoloft, prozac (can't use them at all)
Effexor: ditto
Remeron: double ditto
Parnate: helped, but not nearly enough
Cymbalta: helped, but I couldn't take much, too much serotonin response-- also left me somewhat ragged, possibly from low dose, but also possibly from tension of some med-induced sort-- but did help
Emsam: very good response (took for 4 months)I'm not taking Emsam now because of an SE, either from it, or another med-- but very much hope to restart soon.
The lack of response to your Q could be a drop-out effect. If you feel better, you don't come to Pbabble as much. If you come here because of AD problems-- finding an AD that works could decrease your motivation to check in often. Hence fewer positive responses?
Or maybe it isn't so effective. I guess we'll see.
