Racing/ruminating thoughts AntiPsych or Mood Stabl

Posted by qbsbrown on October 12, 2006, at 21:58:46

Lexapro has done a great job at lifting my depression, and lifted my 5 year chronic derealization.

That said, i still have racing thoughts/ruminations, and the inability to sit still, and even sleep.

I can take celexa, and i can sit still fine at work, and be able to sleep fine. But depression will still be there, and derealization will be bad.

So the choice is between an antipsychotic, or a mood stablizer. Lamictal ramps me up, so that's a no go.

I think that it boils down to Depakote ER or Risperdol.

What are your experiences? Advice, thanks.

Brian
