> My drug of choice for 20 years was 6-8 beers a nite, more on the weekends. i mixed the alchohol with the following drugs which i am still on:
> Prozac 60mg a day
> Risperdol 3mg a day
> Wellbutrin 300mg XL
> Klonopin 1mg 4x a day
> Ativan 1mg as needed.
> i have now been sober for close to six years, thanks to cannabis. have no desire to drink whatsoever, and when i was a drinker i had the worst hangovers. Cannabis relaxes me,i'm still in control, and makes me feel good. I take cannabis in the privacy of my home harming no one. Cannabis has kept me away from alcohol now for six years, and my health has improved tremendously...lost 40 pounds, stopped using nicotine, no hangovers, no apparent side effects. it is a good medicine. Why is such a good medicine illegal and the more destructive one alcohol is legal and it was killing me. cigerettes being legal to are far more dangerous than cannabis.Do you think medical cannabis will ever be legal? i think the US is driving people to drink, as there is no other effective legal alternative. i'm not sure if this message is on the correct board, but cannabis is a beneficial drug, and i feel it should legalized. What do you all think?I believe Sativex is in Phase III trials in the US. I'm not sure what the evidence for cannabis in mental illess is, but it would be nice to have some objective research. I'm not against it. The worst thing about marijuana IMHO are the effects on the lungs. That's why I no longer touch it (and I'm unsure of the validity of the so-called vaporizers).
