I don't think that question can be answered. BP is very idiosyncratic to the person. The average person is on three to five different drug trials before achieving reasonable symptomatic relief and then is on an average of 3-5 drugs for ongoing stabilization. My understanding is that it takes a bit longer to find a therapeutic regime for the depressive component versus the mania. Good Luck.
