I don't know in your case, but my senses really dull when I'm depressed.
I don't smell very well, I don't taste and in particular I really don't see color very well. It's all a gray shade of blue.
I have a whole new appreciation for Picasso's blue period - it may be all he saw.
The sad thing is, I don't even realize what is happening until it lifts (usually when I start BACK on my meds).
I think we all know it's different for every person and I wouldn't infer that my symptoms will be yours.
But, then again, you never know.
