how does adderall compare with concerta or focalin? have you been on any other ADD meds?
what dosage are you on? can you split them?
just curious
I'm on focalin xr right now and I will say that I could probably use something later in the day as well - actually right around the time I take my afternoon meds but I fear anything would then keep me up at night and perhaps exacerbate my anxiety
so I have about 6 hours of decent functionality... maybe... I've been so depressed lately due to current life stressors that my idea of functionality has become being able to respond to threads on this board... and I know that ain't living
I went back to school last year - could never have done it if I weren't on ADD meds - made me realize why I could never do 'formal' schooling before - have always studied 'off the books' - audited classes - could never handle tests - or dailiness, for that matter
while I was in school, I had to do my studying in the morning... by evening, after a full day of classes, I was toast
but despite the enormous pressure, I loved it!
with your schedule of work & school, I don't see why your pdoc wouldn't prescribe twice a day dosing
good luck!
namaste,
lilith> I too rely on my ADHD medication. I work full time and go to school full time. I try to take meds halfway through the day so that I get the effect at work and at school, but I can't always wait and sometimes I need to study and I find my self taking it at a different time every day. Does anybody know what the max is on Adderall XR? I've thought about asking my dr. to up the dosage so I can take it twice a day until I get out of schoool in may.
