Thursday is a long way off when you are withdrawing from effexor. If you have been stable on it for so long it is not a good idea to let things get out of balance.
Best bet is to call your doctor and have him call in a prescription to the pharmacy. If you have been on it for a long time you won't need a face to face meeting to get a refill. Or go to the emergency room, explain the situation, and get them to prescribe 3 days worth of it to get you to the doctor appointment.
