a lot of docs are wisely moving away from "schizophrenia"--its stigmatising and not particularly precise, so docs are more likely to focus on other components (mood, anxiety, stress levels) than they were in the past. Beware of docs who jump to diagnose schizophrenia: they should not be trusted.
If Haldol isn't cutting the paranoia, you may want to try a different approach--maybe you have high cortisol, or something like that. Plus, some people with psychosis just don't respond to neuroleptics very well, or some of their core symptoms are left unresolved. Have you tried talk therapy? Voices suck--I've had them before--but you might be better off learning coping strategies than trying to drug the voices out of existence. Again--try to get some bloodwork done, especially cortisol levels and the like. Could you try vitamins or an orthomolecular approach? Since drugs aren't working, you might as well try orthomolecular approaches--combinations of meds+vitamins. Good luck!
