maybe the disinhibition induced by the BZD drugs is unleashing tics you're usually suppressing. Disinhibition w/ BZDs is usually a good thing, depending on degree: someone who cant leave the house might be able to leave the house, talk to people, and feel normal. But...if part of your inhibition involves a suppression of tics, then reducing your inhibition might lead to tics.
