Phillipa...you are *never* a 'pest' on here!! I am sorry to hear you are having problems with your meds. I'd highly suggest getting some of those more sedating meds towards the evening, since that is when you experience most of your anxiety. Can you possibly get up to 1 mg of Xanax in the evening?? (or .5 bid?) It's just this med is a REAL lifesaver for both anxiety and depression. If your doc won't go for that, you certainly need something else. Maybe Valium up to 2-3 x a day, at a slightly higher dose? BTW..your Luvox likely helps with anxiety, now that you have been on it for some time. Try to avoid going up and down on the doses. Maybe go to 2x a day dosing? Luvox increases melatonin levels as well, which also have an anti-anxiety effect.

Make sure you get your thyroid checked "to a T", because even just taking like a small microgram more of thyroid med can majorly increase anxiety, restlessness, etc..if you don't need it.
