good morning
at least they got it 1/2 right, though it's still not worth it to me. Getting fat makes me VERY depressed. Having desire that cannot be fulfilled isn't my idea of heaven either. I'm very sensitive to those side effects so usually, if it's listed as possible, there's a good chance it'll affect me... which makes Cymbalta another untouchable... oh well.
it amazes me that our society really doesn't seem to want us to feel better. I don't believe for a minute that 'good' (meaning really effective) drugs are possible.
I hope the Concerta helps you. And I wouldn't be afraid of a higher dose. As I said, I was on 108mg, without any problems. And don't discount trying Focalin XR. You might like it better. It does come on faster, feels 'brighter' initially and there's no crash. I do think you'd benefit from a klonopin or some benzo in the mornings with them, as they really help.
I do wish the all these drugs worked longer though. I've considered splitting my ADD dose to 1/2 in the morning and 1/2 in the afternoon but have been afraid to fiddle with it much. It usually takes a few days of playing with my dose before having a 'bad' reaction.
I've been trying tianeptine. Seems to be effective with my ADD meds in the morning but the afternoon dose doesn't seem to do anything. I'm thinking of going back on wellbutrin (just 100mg) in the afternoons... maybe that'll help augment the tianeptine. If I don't see any improvement, I may just take the tianeptine in the mornings, since it isn't under my insurance and I have to order it from overseas. Makes it expensive
I wish I didn't need to take anything but damn, I REALLY wish I weren't so depressed all the time
hope you're doing better.
Me? I wake up every day in dread... my mind racing with all the things I won't get done... again. Then I have this small window when the meds first kick in that allows me to write posts like these. But with no structure in my life and growing more anti-social by the day, I know my own self-defeating habits are becoming my undoing
have a glorious day!
namaste,
lilith> Right back at you. No weight gain. Lost A FEW lbs. I do have sexual side effects which makes me mad. It's one of the reason's why I switched from Zoloft. If that doesn't resolve soon I'm done w/it.

I think most people ended up doing what I did, switching to focalin xr, which is more expensive. They ended up putting Concerta back in their formulary LOL. But since the focalin does affect me more quickly and is 'supposed' to be a cleaner drug, I've just stayed with it.

Not sure if the side effects were attributed to Zoloft withdrawl. To make a long story short I don't feel much of anything right now. (definately not sedated but not much mood elevation either.

I also take klonopin 1 mg at night. I'm also taking Cymbalta. Sometimes I don't know if I'm Obsessive, manic, ADHD, or GAD...........

> > > > > > I have to say I like the concentration, the fact that it seems to level my hyper-sensitivity to everything so I can grasp things without tons of emotions getting in the way. It gets out of my system fairly quickly though and so by 2 to 3 in the afternoon I am tired, falling asleep...this surprised me. I take it early because I am up early (5:30 a.m.) and I will say there is a little bit of anxiety with it that I don't like, If you already have anxiety, then from my experience, it enhances it. So, I like it and then I am so-so about it. I have issues with focus and motivation and it does not quite give me the motivation we all thought it would. I have tried Provigil at 200mg which most people cannot take that high and I get the motivation, but even that starts to wear off and for me it was useless for concentration. So, I am going to ask to try Adderall which I have heard and read better things about in terms of what I am looking for. I think Concerta is good. I like that it does not hang around in your system forever like alot of drugs. Not sure how much you are taking or for how long or why. I just started myself and find I need higher doses or need to change to a med that will help with what my issues are, but all in all- the focus is fantastic.
> > > > > > Hope this sheds a little light-- I am new to it. I have been on Wellbutrin for years and I have stopped that, even though the doc wanted me to stay on at least 300 a day (I was on 450 max) , but it no longer does anything for me-- I need a break from it. I do take Klonopin at night (which i have also been on for years) and have found I have had to increase that to another 1mg and so I take 2mg at night and this may indeed flatten some of the Concerta. Not sure, but it seems it might. I also have a whole bunch of stuff I am fretting about and so I cannot just blame the Concerta---my incessant ruminating, non-stop running brain does not help issues..... :)
