Lithium Mornings

This is sort of a follow up on a previous post...

I take my lithium right before bed, and when I wake up I feel nasty, like I'm coming down with the flu or something, until I get myself up, showered, get the blood flowing. But those first few minutes, before I even sit up, I have a headache, muscle aches slightly, just feels like the flu. Is this common? The only thing I could think of is it's being caused by not having drank any fluids all night?
