Serzone Replacement

Posted by kmwhitt on March 6, 2007, at 12:22:41

My doctor is getting ready to take me off of Serzone (in about 1 month). He is concerned about all the black label warnings and of course the lawsuits. Unfortunately for me, Serzone is the only med that has actually worked for me with no side effects (except a little dry mouth).

Does anyone know of a medication that acts in much the same way as Serzone? I have tried in the past: Effexor, Wellbutrin, Luvox and some others that I can't remember. All gave me horrendous side effects and I felt spacey. Serzone is the closest thing to perfect, I have every experienced. I am afraid that I will go back into a major depression if I don't find a substitute. I have been reading up on Cymbalta and Trazadone - anyone with any experience or anyone who had to switch from Serzone to something else? I would greatly appreciate any input....

Thanks!
