"The Nosebleed Section" is a song by Australian hip hop music group Hilltop Hoods. It was taken from their 2003 album The Calling. In the Triple J Hottest 100, 2003, it placed at the 9th position. The Nosebleed Section's chorus and backing beat comes from lyrics and music from the song 'The People In The Front Row' originally sung by Melanie Safka. It is one of their best-known songs and was a radio hit in 2004, but it was not a ARIAnet chart hit, which they did not attain until 2006 when they released "Clown Prince".
The term 'Nosebleed Section' has two definitions. Firstly, it refers to the uppermost section of a stadium or arena. It is used to exaggerate the height (high altitudes give you nosebleeds). Secondly it refers to the most active and intense part of a mosh pit during a concert. This is normally in the middle of the front row.
