This drug is not the equivilant of well butrin. I spent over a month and a half in la la land. Please remember it is not the same as the brand name

Except for the few side effects that I now have that I did not with the Welbutrin, I feel as though I am not taking my medication. I am now experiencing the symptoms that lead me to seek help to begin with. This could be a dangeous situation.

On top of going back into a deep depression, (staring off into space, bursting into tears etc.) I also developed back to back migraines 3 days apart by the 9th day. I was spaced out, jittery, cranky, paranoid, developed tinnitus, couldn’t sleep more than 3 hours a night and had constant vision disturbances all from day 1 on, which I was told “should” go away after a week. Instead, I am in worse shape than ever with all my depression symptoms back and a bunch of new side effect ailments that I never had with Wellbutrin. By day 11, I had to stop taking the yellow oval Budeprion. It’s not for me!

I agree with the stuff I have read on this site, I also was given the generic brand Buderprion XL 300 mg and within days felt horrible and called the pharmacy to see if there were any other compliants and found out this was a 'very new' generic drug. They told me the symptoms I was describing should go away, however they did not and have only gotten worse. Yesterday was my 18th day on the drug and I absolutely thought I was loosing my mind, I was feeling worse than I did before taking Wellburtin to begin with. I again called the pharmacy and my doctor because the headaches, severe mood swings and lack of energy to even do normal daily activies had completely diminished and I felt like my interactions at home and work were starting to be severely affected. I even had co-workers asking me if things were okay and if there was anything they could do for me and my family was just watching me fall to pieces and felt helpless.

I am glad to say I was able to get the name brand this morning and hope this makes life get better again. I did make a complaint with the FDA and everyone should, because I did not see any compliants on their site for Buderprion. Several people are reporting here that have been directly affected..you have to let them know so they can investigate this new drug and hopefully get it off the market.
