> Do you guys believe in the placebo effect of seeing a pdoc? I find that after I whine about some symptom I'm having, well, it kind of goes away after an appointment, even if no med change was made. Even if no "therapeutic" insight was offered.-- I do believe in the placebo effect of seeing a pdoc and a t. I tend to feel better after an appointment with either one. Perhaps it has to do with having an opportunity to get things out in the open instead of keeping them bottled up. Kind of a cathartic experience - a release of sorts. All that to say that I know what you mean and have experienced it as well.
I would be interested in continuing to hear how you do on the Lamictal. My pdoc has agreed to let me try it to augment my AD, but I am a bit nervous to start it. He told me to wait a few more days before starting because I am just getting over a really, really bad gastro and am still not able to stomach too much solid food. Anyway, I have read quite a few positive reports about its AD effects here, on Crazymeds and on Remedyfind, so my fingers are crossed for both of us.
Would you mind telling me what dose you started at and any side effects you have experienced?
Thanks, Lurpsie. I hope things just continue getting better for you and that the Lamictal proves to be your silver bullet.
Take care.
