Hm... Have you tried Lithium? That's got a great rep as the most reliable mood stabilizer, and as an augmenting agent for anti-depressants.
Lamictal is out...
Trileptal is out...
Abilify and Risperdal are out...
Have you tried Seroquel? That's got a good reputation as a user-friendly mood stabilizer which also helps sleep...
Trying the lower dose of Depakote might be worth a try...
Verapamil has gotten some good press as a mood stabilizer/anxiolytic for women...
Do you have much trouble with depression? Or is it mostly the hypomania?
Also, are you and your pdoc sure it's hypomania? I've been evaluated more times than I can tell you for BP, because when I respond to an AD, I look surprisingly bubbly. So far, though, all the doctors have concluded that I am unipolar, but that my basic personality is much bouncier than anyone would know under the depression. I wonder if a re-evaluation might find that you don't need a mood stabilizer so much?
But, assuming you are BP II, those above are the things I can think of... I'm not all that knowledgeable about mood stabilizers, and I'm sorry I can't be more help.
