Amphetamines flod the brain in two neutrotransmitters, Dopamine , Noradrenaline. hence after taking speed you feel both euphoric and often hyperactive.Depression experienced after the crash-post Amp use are thought to be due to depleted levels of these neurotransmitters.
It takes a while to restock these, if you ever do.
