Desipramine Activating? Share your experience

I currently take paxil 10g and ativan daily for strong atypical depression + social anxiety. I usually am able to sleep but seems never in other people's beds.

Remeron I recently tried for almost a month before I couldnt take it anymore. Made me sleepy during half the day and just felt dull and worse on it.

So now Desipramine is an option for me and I never tried any TCA's before.

What can I expect? My doc told me it's sedating but according to some reading I have done it is not sedating. So what is the reality? Is it activating? I need something activating. I lack energy, i have low drive, low motivation, low everything.

Please share any experiences of Desipramine ty.
