I read info that:
-Effexor works on serotonin receptors at lower doses and norepinephrine NT at higher doses.
-Webbutrin works on norepinephrine.
- Prozac works on serotonin. When I took Prozac all I thought about was suicide.
When I took Wellbutrin I became enraged, almost violent.
When I took Effexor, at low doses, it worked awesome. But, when I tried to up the does I became enraged. That would lead me to conclude a few things:
“Working on” norepinephrine enrages me.
For whatever reason Prozac just wasn’t my thing.
I benefit from suppressing serotonin re-uptake, or “working on serotonin” because Effexor helps me so much. (8yrs)My problem: Over time I think that Effexor has lost some of it’s power to help, so I’d like to increase the dose, thereby increasing the “work done” on serotonin. . But, I can’t without it messing with norepinephrine, which will make me angry.
Does anyone have any suggestions? (Yes, I am going to see my doctor next week, but I would like to have done my homework before doing so.)
