Thanks for the info-- I did think that Synthroid should be taken on an empty stomach, but no one ever emphasized it, and sometimes, I'm hungry right when I wake up and don't feel like waiting. It's interesting you should mention Hashimoto's. My mom actually has it, and she was also treated for thyroid cancer two years ago. So I don't know whether my hypothyroidism was caused by genetic factors or whether it was lithium-induced, which is also possible. It's probably a combination of the two. Thanks!
