My struggle with debilitating panic and anxiety just seems to go on and on and I am getting increasingly desperate. Currently taking Zyprexa but the panic keeps breaking through. I'm wondering if I should be asking my GP if I can try Paxil as it is is approved for panic. I am really apprehensive, however, as I had such bad luck with Zoloft and Effexor. (I had the worst panic attack ever on Effexor and actually went so far as to summon an ambulance.) I have also read that Paxil causes anxiety to incrrease for the first two to three weeks...not sure I can handle any more anxiety without jumping off a bridge. I can, of course, go back on benzos, but I never seem to get very well rested on those meds. Insomnia is another big problem for me. Any advice greatly appreciated.
