For many folks, a course of AD's in conjunction with therapy is more beneficial than either treatment by itself.
It sounds as if sharing your fears with a professional might help you analyze their nature.
Certainly anxiety and depression can go hand in hand, both having chemical origins. I suspect that if we have "issues" that are not necessarily related to an organic condition, taking an AD does not make them go away.
