Changes in Pamelor

Posted by 1lablvr on September 10, 2007, at 18:07:59

i've been taking Pamelor or over 13 years to treat refractory depression since post partum depression, 20 years ago. I am extremely sensitive to drugs, and have tried at least 30 in every classification. Prior to the Pamelor I suffered from 3 six month long depressive episodes over six years. Pamelor was the answer. I am currently taking 190 mg. I work with a psychpharmocologist who is very patient.

They have changed the packaging for 10 mg Pamelor. It now comes in bottles of 30 pills. I tried the new bottle, and after 2 nights have anxiety similar to what I've experienced when attempting the SSRI's. I also take klonopin, which eventually helped me sleep.

I also take carafate, tenormin, and doxycycline, and have for years.

Has anyone else had these side effects with the newly packaged Pamelor? I am able to take the 50's fine. I am terrified as to what will happen in two weeks, when my old Pamelor is gone.
