Well, it would be nice not to "waste" it, but the answer is probably to take it to your chemist to have it disposed of. What you don't want to do is flush it -- otherwise, what will happen to those poor psychotic fish? (I'm being flip, but it's true: don't flush left-over meds.) If you throw them away, think about wrapping them in plastic wrap or putting them into a zipper locked plastic bag, and wrapping them in duct tape or other strapping tape, to keep them from leaching into the landfill.

All things considered, I generally recommend asking your chemist to dispose of them -- easier than trying to figure out how to protect the environment from them, eh?
