Every doctor has their personal bias, varying low or high ego, varying open mindedness, and varying susceptibility to the influence they are under from pharamceutical reps that visit their offices all the time. Or maye he/she receives under the table benefits for prescribing certain drugs versus others. My GP office has Cymbalta pens, pads of paper, signs, posters and stuff all over the office. Is it no wonder they always go for Cymbalta as their first choice? Makes you wonder what they get out it.
I would think if you are doing fine a doctor would not want to change anything simply because it makes his records look good. But maybe he/she doesn't like patients on benzos and will take you off. Or maybe he/she thinks that since you are fine maybe you can now reduce dosage or stop one drug at a time.
If you are doing fine, why would you want to see a doctor...any doctor...anyway, other than to get a 3 month prescription renewed?
