Seroquel XL is now out but I believe its just a patent extension to 2017 as usual.
Trazodone, Serzone, and Remeron (at high doses), in a way have similar 5HT blockade as opposed to reuptake. On the other hand they are full of their own side effects -- Trazodone, its metabolite mCPP can cause psychosis possibly in those prone to it, Serzone, liver problems in a small number of people which led the manufacturer to run and nefazodone is now generic and recommended to have liver tests, Remeron, weight gain for alot.
