If you type in a web search the name of the drug along with "side effects" or "mechanism" you will get sites to choose from.
I also like to go to the pubmed site to study meds. I type in the pubmed search box the name of the drug along with "serotonin" or "dopamine" or "anhedonia" or "CYP" (liver stuff) or "anxiety" or whatever it is I am interested in learning more about. Or maybe instead of any particular drug I might type in something like "treatment resistant depression" or whatever topic I am interested in. Then depending on what you typed in for the search at pubmed you will get anywhere from a few to maybe hundreds of scientific abstracts on the subject you were looking for. And you will stumble onto a lot of other stuff you weren't particularly looking for, but that lead you to discover new things you never thought about. I did pretty well on prozac and zyprexa for a few years. It was through a pubmed search that I discovered about the synergy between them, and that was a couple years before any doctors became aware of it. I brought my pubmed studies to my doctor, he was convinced, and we did it. Now, years later, this same doctor uses the ssri+antipyschotic combo freely a lot, especially if there is any hint of bipolar or treatment resistance. But through a pubmed search, I think I was one of the first to go that route. The information I got was definitely not available at the time on a regular google search or on any drug sites like rxlist or anything like that.
If you want detailed scientific stuff, go to pubmed. If you want more basic general stuff, a simple google search will get you various good sites.
