Half life and active life are two different things. Splitting the dose will probably give you better effects.
I found the best choice for Provigil for me was to take a front loaded split dose -- 100mg at breakfast, and another 50mg about lunch time. That worked out well for me. I would have liked to go up, but my doctor switched me to Ritalin instead. That worked a treat, so I can't complain.
Good luck with it. How are you doing? Are you still working with the same doctor? Still overseas?
