Well Tenex is related to clonidine which is used separately for its possible properties in treating ADHD and rage, so that's one thing to keep in mind. It also is less sedating.

Its a blood pressure medication, not a beta blocker. Metoprololol or Toprol XL would address tachychardia better probably though there is somewhat of a calming effect from alpha-2 blockers such as Tenex.
